Marine and Harsh Environments

BAH-BAHX Series

BA brake motors are offered as standard as the BAH series from frame size 225 to 315 mm, and are also available on request in frame sizes from 80 to 200 mm.

Features and Description

The BAH series has the same features as the BA-BAX series motors. The main difference lies in the brake mounting housing (IP degree), designed to provide greater strength and protection against the ingress of dust and liquids
BAH series motors are supplied as standard with IP55 protection degree and, on request, with IP56-65-66 protection degree
From frame size 160, the housing, shields, flanges, brake friction surface and brake protective cover are made of cast iron to provide higher mechanical strength and suitability for harsh environments (such as marine applications)
The standard brake release is the lock type
BAH series motors are also available in the BAHS version without a cooling fan
From frame size 225, on request, the motor housing can be made of spheroidal cast iron

The main features of the BAH-BAHX series are a high IP protection degree and superior mechanical strength in harsh environments, including marine applications.

Double Brake Unit

BMBM Series

The BMBM series comprises three-phase asynchronous motors with two independent DC brakes; frame sizes from 63 to 315 and a power range from 0.08 kW to 132 kW.

The motor brakes in the event of a power supply failure
Ensures a safe and quick stop in the event of an unwanted power supply interruption
The braking torque is the same in both directions of rotation

Manual brake release is carried out with two levers (one for each brake)
